THE LORD'S ARMY: BASIC TRAINING MANUAL
The goal of the Lord’s Army: Basic Training Manual is to get families excited about Bible study and talking about the Word together—creating more opportunities for parents to disciple their children.
DISTINCTIVES OF THIS BIBLE STUDY INCLUDE:
*A Bible study for the ENTIRE family! (3 different levels for ages 6-adult)
*10-week inductive study organized into 5 divisions—tracing the progression of spiritual growth:
(1) Fear Him
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We cannot know the true God if we neglect this foundational truth. The Bible reveals God and how we may know and approach Him. Do you have proper fear of the Lord?
(2) Believe in Him
A call to confession, repentance, and receiving of the gift of salvation through faith in Christ’s blood. Salvation is not merely an event; it’s a growing transformation. How are you living the gospel?
(3) Follow Him
Jesus is not only Savior; He is also LORD. Salvation is but the beginning of our relationship with God. Believing is not just about thinking truth; it’s about trusting it. It’s about LIVING what we say we believe. Who/What do you follow?
(4) Glorify Him
Salvation is not about us; it’s all about HIM! God’s #1 objective is His glory, and it’s to be ours, too. We exist for His pleasure and glory. Purposing to magnify HIS name provides the motivation for our spiritual growth. How are you bringing glory to the Lord?
(5) Grow in Him
Through knowing Him, enjoying Him, and fellowshipping in Him.
-
Know Him—Salvation starts with a simple knowledge of the Lord and the forgiveness He freely offers through faith in His Son. Growth in holiness comes through a study of His Word. What priority does Bible study have in your life?
-
Enjoy Him—As we grow in true knowledge of the Lord so grows our love of the One revealed in the Scriptures. God’s Word planted in the heart grows a deeper relationship with the Author, as we learn to seek, trust, and worship Him. How vibrant is your relationship with the Lord?
-
Together in Him—The Body of Christ! What is it? What is its purpose? We tend to think of our relationship with God as One-on-one. While there is a personal aspect to walking with the Lord, God has designed us to NEED other believers in this life, too. How can I better serve the Church through equipping other believers, building up one another, and promoting unity among God’s people?
Think you already know the basics?
Get ready to dig deeply into His Word; this study is NOT milk!

Aimed to stimulate spiritual growth and authenticity in your walk with the Lord! Our goal is not just to know the Word; we need to be living it! What we learn and memorize should change our thinking, attitudes, and actions. Our time in God’s Word should help make us more like Christ. Our goal should be heart transformation!
